GUNS AND HUNTING EQUIPMENT STOLEN The Sioux Falls Police Department
would like the publics’ help finding those responsible for stealing
hunting
equipment from a pickup the night of Tuesday December 16th. The theft occurred in the
3800 block of West
93rd Street. A 12 gauge
shotgun, .223 caliber rifle, binoculars, range finder, parka, and other
items
were taken. Total loss is estimated at
over $1,000.
December 29th posting THEFT OF TANNING LOTION The Sioux Falls Police Department
would like the publics’ help finding the person responsible for the
theft of
numerous bottles of tanning lotion from Tan World at 26th Street and Marion Road on Wednesday
December 10th. At about 8:40 pm a male
suspect grabbed numerous bottles of
Socialite and Sunset brands of tanning lotion.
He fled on foot but may have gotten into a pick up. He is
described as a white male about 6’-0”
tall and very skinny wearing all black clothing and a ski mask.
The lotion is valued at up to $70.00 a
bottle.
December 19th posting SIOUX FALLS BUSINESSES BURGLARIZED The Sioux Falls
Police Department would like the
publics’ help finding those responsible for six burglaries to
businesses over
the night of Tuesday December 16th.
Forced entry was used in every case and cash drawers or registers were
targeted. Locations were: one near 37th Street and Main
Avenue, one was on Arrowhead Parkway east of Sycamore Avenue, two in
the industrial area west of North Kiwanis Avenue, and two near Marion
Road at 41st Street and 26th Street.
Four of the businesses were automotive in nature and one had
expensive Snap On brand tools taken.
December 12th posting NUMEROUS THEFTS NORTH OF SIOUX FALLS The Minnehaha County Sheriff’s
Office would like the publics’ help finding those responsible for
at least sixteen reports of thefts from cars
and garages in the area either side of North Cliff Avenue, North of
I-90, and
around the Renner and Crooks areas since October 13th. On December 4th a 2004 Chevrolet
Impala sustained damage when it was stolen from the 5800 block of North
Kiwanis
Avenue and later located near 14th Street and Cliff Avenue in Sioux
Falls.
December 1st posting CAR/PEDESTRIAN INJURY HIT AND RUN The Sioux Falls Police Department
would like the publics’ help locating the person responsible for
striking a 65
year old female pedestrian and leaving the scene. The accident
occurred on Wednesday November 12th, just
before 6:00pm near 18th Street and Cleveland Avenue.
The victim received a fractured leg and
internal injuries. The suspect vehicle
is described as a green two door Honda Civic with a black hood and
tinted
windows.
November 7th posting AUTOMOTIVE SHOP BURGLARY The Sioux Falls Police Department
would like the publics’ help finding those responsible for a break in
at 2516
South Minnesota Avenue, Automotive Brake and Exhaust. Computers,
cash, alignment tools, a Snap On tool chest, pipe bending
and tire balancing tools, and welding equipment were taken. The
theft occurred over the night of Sunday
November 2nd.
October 31st posting STOLEN CAR FROM FAIRGROUNDS The Sioux Falls Police Department
would like the publics’ help finding those responsible for the theft of
a
silver colored 2007 Dodge Charger taken between September 24th and
October 6th. The car was
taken from either the Billion’s lot at 4200 West 12th St. or the Sioux
Empire Fairgrounds. Blue temporary
dealer plates numbered D-380 were displayed in the cars window.
October 24th posting JOE FOSS SCHOOL BURGLARY The Sioux Falls
Police Department would like the publics’ help finding the person
responsible
for a break-in at Joe Foss School, 1200 East 3rd Street. The burglary occurred
on Thursday October 9th
at around 4:00am. Significant damage
was done to gain entry to the school and an office. The suspect
is described as a slender white male about 5’-9” tall
wearing dark coveralls and a ball cap worn backwards.
October 17th posting RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES The Sioux Falls Police Department
would like the publics’ help finding those responsible for up to ten
residential break-ins since August 5th. Several purses, a digital
camera, and cash have been taken. In these cases a screen was cut
to gain
entry. They have occurred both day and
night and while residents were home or away.
The majority of these incidents were in October in the core area of the
city from about 7th Street to 26th Street and Minnesota
Avenue to Kiwanis Ave.
October 13th posting GUN CLUB VANDALIZED The Lincoln County Sheriff’s
Office would like the publics’ help finding those responsible for
damage done
at the Dakota Benchrest Shooters club located west of Tea. The
property has been vandalized twice since
May. Both times the gate was driven
through and the storage building rammed.
The vehicle involved may be a reddish colored car missing a Buick
emblem.
